I’ve had difficult moments in life as many others have.

Fearful. Embarrassed. Abandoned.

But there’s one person who never left.

Me.

I was with me.

I could never be abandoned again, because I wouldn’t abandon myself.

I got up, looked in the mirror and rescued myself.

Empathy and resilience emerged.

We have to crack before we break open.

Sometimes pain is needed to heal the layered wound.

Maybe your shoulders are heavy from the continuous weight you have to carry or your heart feels tight from isolation, I understand.

You and I have had hard moments before, and we made it through... we may have been limping with our knuckles scrapping the ground, but we got there.

Tomorrow morning, when your feet touch the ground, remember who you are.

Let your strength step forward.

I believe in you.
